I am Umm Malek, a physical education and sports teacher. I am 36 years old. I am married and have four children: three girls and a boy. The oldest is 13 years old and the youngest is 5 years old. We dream of a safe life and a bright future. I worked as a school teacher in Gaza from 2010 to 2023. We lived in safety, peace and stability in our small house that I built for us to live in. I was living in my own house, suddenly things changed and were turned upside down with the bombing of our house and my entire family was injured, my son Malek’s injury was the most seviere with the bombing causing his head to split open and his skull was broken. He was in intensive care for several weeks and I stood under his feet waiting for him to respond to me. He was suffering from severe bleeding, a fractured skull, the loss of a large part of the skull bone, a fracture in his left arm and a plate in his arm. My daughter who was also injured had a plate to fix the severe breas though out her arm and the many breaks and fractures in her pelvis. She was laying on the hospital floor for days with no pain killers and no relief unable to move at all. But suddenly I received a call about our travel to Egypt for my son’s treatment and here I stopped for a while to see what would happen. He was not treated in Egypt. I took my little boy to America, he is my daughter and they left my two little girls in Egypt alone. It was a difficult decision to leave two girls alone without any provider and I stood helpless in the face of the difficulty of life and the decision.

Today I am back in the Arab Republic of Egypt to receive treatment fro my children, but without any hope for a near and secure future. Me and my four children do not have a source of livelihood or treatment, I live in very difficult circumstances. I strive to provide everything for my children so that they can fully recover. I hope for your support and assistance for me and my children.
